Overcomer

Zacchaeus was small in stature. He wouldn’t be able to see Jesus above the crowd. So the Lord provided him a tree to climb. Now he was able to look upon the Lord, to talk with him, to become converted as a follower of Christ.

We all had something to overcome before we came to Christ: sin. But Jesus provided for us too. He shed His perfect blood for us. Now we are able to see Him, converse with Him, become one of His children.
God always provides what is needed for people to become one of His.
As you move forward in your walk with Jesus continue to look to Him to supply your every need.

Money Makeover

Malachi 3:10

Haggai 1:2-14

Their houses weren’t the best. Their clothes weren’t the greatest. They barely had enough food to eat.

They couldn’t figure it out. The money they were making seemed to be held in a bag with holes. It seemed as if they were always spinning their wheels, never getting ahead.

Then The Lord revealed to them the cause of their problems: unwise financial choices. He pointed out the house of God as it laid in ruins, untouched, uncared for. No one was willing to give to the rebuilding of the temple because they were too concerned with making sure they were taken care of.

Their money wasn’t being invested in the things of God.

Do you feel like you can’t get out of the hole? Or that you have to live just scraping by? If so take a look at where your money is going. If God isn’t on the list put Him there, at the top. Or if you believe that you are investing in the work of The Lord but aren’t seeing a good turnaround check and make sure what you are supporting. Dig a little deeper into the ministry to make sure that it is lifting up Jesus and not just a front to scheme money.

Being blessed financially begins with giving The Lord His portion first.

You Can’t Outdo God

I Kings 3:13

II Kings 4:1-7

“All I have is one pot of oil. I have been left with a huge debt and creditors are at my door threatening to take my two sons. My husband just died and I am at a loss as to what I am supposed to do.”

Elisha looked at the widowed mother.

“Go borrow as many vessels as you can. Empty them out. Get your two sons, go in the house and shut the door. Then take your one pot of oil and start pouring it into the empty vessels.”

“Bring me another one!” the widowed woman said to her son.

“Momma, we don’t have anymore empty vessels left. They’re all full.”

The widowed woman went to Elisha and told him of the miracle that had just taken place at her house.

“Go, sell the oil, pay off your debt and live with your children in rest.”

The profit made on the oil was more than enough to provide for the woman and her sons comfortably.

Yet had there been more pots there still would’ve been more oil.

Because you can’t outdo Jesus. The blessings He pours out on us will always exceed our expectations.
