Craving

Mark 15:42-47
Jesus had died the death of the cross. His body was at Golgotha’s hill. Joseph, a follower of Christ, was said to have “craved the body of Jesus”.
Joseph boldly approached Pilate, the very man who sent Jesus to be crucified,

to ask if he could take the body of Jesus.
Joseph, out of love, honor and respect for The Lord risked his reputation and his life to love Christ.
Is your craving for Christ this powerful within you? Are you willing to risk whatever needed to show the world, to show Jesus, that you love Him more than you love yourself?
Jesus had a craving to be with you. He showed this love for you when he left heaven to pay your sin debt.

Recipe for Success

Psalm 37:3

II Chronicles 17:1-12

Jehoshaphat was a king that loved God and kept his commandments. He protected the walls of his cities with armies of men. He removed false gods from within his kingdom. He also had the book of the law of The Lord taught throughout his land.

As a result he was honored by God, respected by man and his kingdom was made to prosper.

Most of us are looking for those same results. Simply follow Jehoshaphat’s example.

Make Jesus your King. Be conscious of what you allow in your life. Remove yourself from temptations. And diligently study the Word.

With your focus on Christ and ban on Satan your life will show the same results Jehoshaphat reaped.

Money Makeover

Malachi 3:10

Haggai 1:2-14

Their houses weren’t the best. Their clothes weren’t the greatest. They barely had enough food to eat.

They couldn’t figure it out. The money they were making seemed to be held in a bag with holes. It seemed as if they were always spinning their wheels, never getting ahead.

Then The Lord revealed to them the cause of their problems: unwise financial choices. He pointed out the house of God as it laid in ruins, untouched, uncared for. No one was willing to give to the rebuilding of the temple because they were too concerned with making sure they were taken care of.

Their money wasn’t being invested in the things of God.

Do you feel like you can’t get out of the hole? Or that you have to live just scraping by? If so take a look at where your money is going. If God isn’t on the list put Him there, at the top. Or if you believe that you are investing in the work of The Lord but aren’t seeing a good turnaround check and make sure what you are supporting. Dig a little deeper into the ministry to make sure that it is lifting up Jesus and not just a front to scheme money.

Being blessed financially begins with giving The Lord His portion first.
