Using the Word to Encourage Others

#winning at Christmas

๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„Christmas Shoppers, #winning would make a great gift! ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„.

Details: #winning is a 16 lesson Bible study on wisdom. Scripture studies come from both the Old and New Testaments. It can be completed individually or in a small group.

#winning & Wisdom

Not for one second do I believe that this 16 lesson study guide holds every answer to every problem. But, I do believe that the Lord has given this book to be used as a reference guide and to help us learn to live more effectively for him. When I began writing this book I asked the Lord to give me a passage of scripture to build it off of. He gave me I Samuel 18:5-30. The chapters are based off of these points found in that passage of scripture. God is so good to lead and direct!! If you want to get your own copy of #winning you can on Amazon or at Westbow Press. Whatโ€™s with the Flag?

So how does a book with #winning as the title have a picture of a white flag of surrender?? It wasnโ€™t the original plan, Iโ€™ll tell you that. I had a completely different vision. But, when the proof came back for me to sign off on, I couldnโ€™t do it. I didnโ€™t have a peace about it. I talked to my group that has helped me with several decisions concerning this book over the past couple of years (Dad, Mom, Cass, Jeffrey, Tim, Kayla, Sarah and of course Trae) While I was talking to Mom and Dad, Mom suggested a flag. Immediately the white flag came to my mind. As soon as we hung up I prayed for the Lord to give me confirmation that the white flag was to be on the cover. The very next words I heard were โ€œwhite flag in the windโ€ from the song Air I Breathe by Mat Kearney playing on Klove. I knew then that the Lord wanted that as the cover for #winning. So, hereโ€™s a special shout out to my mother. I am so glad that she is sensitive to the Lordโ€™s voice and willing to act on it. Also, I am super grateful and continuing to stand in awe that Jesus, the King of Kings, cares about our details!!

Gideon: a common man, born into a common situation, yet called to do mighty things. God was able to use him when he humbled himself before the Lord.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Prayers Please

It’s good to know that the Lord is our strength and he only wants what is best for us. Jesus is worthy of our praise.

This is an excerpt from my upcoming book. Remember me in prayer as I try to do his will.

Jehoshabeath hid her infant nephew, Joash for six years. Joash didn’t realize that he was being protected from the enemy. He didn’t understand that he was being nurtured and groomed to take over as King of the country. He just lived as his aunt told him. As a result he flourished under her care. When time came for him to come out of hiding Joash was prepared.

Christ is wanting to nurture you to prepare you for your next phase of life. Don’t scoff at what you see as missed opportunities; it’s a way of God protecting you. Don’t dread the studying of the word; it’s a way for God to grow you.

Instead remember that the God who knows the future has great plans for you. You can trust him.

Scripture taken from:

II Chronicles 22:11-12
