Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. (Acts 3:6)
Peter was proclaiming Christ. He had intentionally made public the connection he had with Jesus. As a result he was known as a man of God. The things he did were seen as Godly and of The Lord.
Being known as a follower of Christ will set yourself apart from those who don’t claim Christ as their savior. This matters because the things we say, do and associate ourselves with reflect Jesus. Our lives need to be lived prayerfully and according to the Word because our choices don’t just affect us. They have an impact on the world’s perception of Christ.
