New Book

I know I haven’t posted for awhile about my new book but that isn’t because I haven’t been working on it!! The Lord is blessing it. 🙌🏻I’ll be posting more the closer it is to coming out. I’d appreciate prayers!! Here’s my beautiful mother taking her turn at reading over it. #leavingalegacym

Rocky Relationships

Miriam, Moses’ sister, and Aaron, Moses’ spokesman started badmouthing Moses’ choice for a wife. They went on to question what was so special about Moses that the Lord would want to speak through him. The Lord overheard their conversation and immediately put a stop to it.

Aaron confessed their wrong to Moses. Moses forgave them.

Satan will try to throw wrenches in the relationships that mean the most to us. He will try anything to put a division between God’s people. Extend the same forgiveness that you would want offered to you. Move on without holding grudges.

O My Soul

David pleaded to the Lord, asking why his enemies were overtaking him. The very next request was for God to shine his light on the situation. When David began looking at the situation as God showed it to him he was filled with hope and praise.
The darkness of the world can perceive what we believe to be true. When you notice yourself feeling defeated ask the Lord to lighten the situation with his truth.
Scripture taken from Psalm 43.

A Perfect Plan

God has a plan for you that he is perfecting at this moment. His work in you is something that he doesn’t want to toss aside. Keep being moldable. Keep being teachable. Trust your God of everlasting mercy.
Scripture taken from Psalm 138:8.

At the end of the day when you sit back to reflect ask yourself “was what I gained worth the price I paid?” If the answer is no ask the Lord to help you to be content with what you have or where you are in life so that you may enjoy the peace that comes with those moments.
“Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.” Proverbs 17:1

Looking Out for Each Other

Adonijah had taken over the throne of David as he neared his final days of life. Now normally this wouldn’t be anything unnatural considering the fact that Adonijah was David’s son.
The cause for concern was the fact that the throne had been promised to Solomon, David’s other son, not Adonijah.
Nathan, a prophet of God and friend of David approached him on the matter. He knew that David was unaware of what was going on because of his feebleness and being bound to bed rest. He knew also that action needed to be taken. Something needed to be done.
David graciously accepted Nathan’s account of what was going on within his kingdom. He denounced Adonijah as king and set Solomon in his place.
All was well again because a person decided to step up on their friend’s behalf.
Could you be that friend to someone? Could you help someone to see a situation more clearly? Could you do something to make life a little easier for another person?
Look out for those that God has put in your life.

Becoming a Christian

Becoming a Christian
•First you must realize that you are a sinner.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23
•And that there is a price for the sins you commit.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23
•Then understand that Jesus paid the price for your sins by dying on the cross and that he rose from the grave.
Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.

Romans 4:25
•If you have accepted the fact that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour, believe on Jesus to forgive you of your sins and he will!
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:9
For whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13
•Get to know Jesus! Study the Word, the Bible.
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1
•Choose each day from here on out to live for Jesus.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20
•Enjoy God’s love!
We love him, because he first loved us.

I John 4:19

Fruit of the Spirit

“Fruits of the Spirit aren’t an option. They’re a result.”
Trae, my pastor and husband, preached this last Sunday evening. I had to share it!
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

Wait

Being in a situation in which you have zero options but to wait is super frustrating. Try to comfort yourself by remembering that God has only intended good for you. He is working even if you don’t understand how.
“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” Psalm 27:14
