The tribes had gathered in support of David to take the kingdom from Saul. Every warrior was counted and mentioned, from Zadok and his twenty-two captains to the one hundred and twenty thousand men coming from the other side of the Jordan River.
Why mention the small amounts in the same breath as those mighty in number? 
Because just as Zadok’s group was filled with individuals the other groups were made of individuals too. Each person, no matter how big or small their tribe, had to voluntarily commit to fighting. They each had to make a decision. God recognized and remembered them for it. 
You’re commitment to Christ may seem insignificant when comparing yourself to the masses, but it isn’t. Masses are made up of individuals that do their part. Be willing to serve and God will honor it.
