The morning after the king had shut Daniel into the lion’s den he ran to the place shouting “did your God deliver you?”
Here is what Daniel didn’t say, “I don’t want to speak to you. You left me for dead. I hate you. I could have been eaten alive because of what you did to me.”
Instead his response was controlled and intentional. It was meant to give God glory. Daniel understood that the situation he was in was bigger than him. That it had the potential to affect an entire nation. 
He answered the king by saying “God has delivered me with his angel. He found no wrong in me. I am unhurt.” 
When we are tempted to get the last word or to make a valid point based on pride ask yourself “in what way can I speak that will bring God glory?”
