David said “Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.” (Psalm 131:1)
He didn’t just hope that he was a humble man. He actually evaluated the choices he had made.
We know that we should be servants for Christ. Part of that means serving others, lifting others up, trusting God’s plan. Are you striving for that or are you just hoping it happens?
Being humble takes effort. You have to make deliberate choices to serve, trust and encourage others. But the blessings from the Lord are worth it.
