The people that accused Jesus didn’t make accusations against him just because they wanted to. They literally believed the lies they were saying. Their eyes were closed to the truth.

Jesus responded with compassion towards them. He wasn’t mad at them. He didn’t treat them rudely. Instead He asked His Father to forgive them.

When we interact with people that are believing a lie lets follow Jesus’ example and extend compassion and longsuffering towards them, realizing they’re allowing themselves to be blinded to the truth instead of being so offended that we write them off and dismiss the condition of their everlasting soul.
