The sick man laid on his bed looking up at Jesus. His friends had brought him to Christ for a physical healing. But he was really after a spiritual one.
We know this because Jesus healed him of his sin first. The friends that brought him, the people that crowded the room, no one else may have known the man’s intentions but Christ heard his request and he answered. First by forgiving his sin and then by healing him of his disease.
People may not always be able to voice their concerns. Or they might try to cover them with less personal matters. Because of this we need to be sensitive to those around us, to their prayer requests. Ask the Lord to show you how to pray for the people you meet.
