My family and I went on a late night side by side ride. Of course there were headlights shining a light on the path we were taking. But they didn’t lighten the area around it.

I think that is the reason that my oldest daughter said “Daddy I’m afraid of the dark.”

She had vision for only what she could see.

This gets Christians into trouble sometimes. We focus only on what we can see, the here and now.

Trials tend to overcome us. Blessings seem to rule our lives. The broader picture, heaven, is forgotten.

I encourage you to remind yourself that you aren’t living for this life only. You are living to go meet a Heavenly Father.

The trials of the day or the blessings on earth won’t even compare to the glory that awaits us.
